Revolutionary app launch

A collaboration between Rightdose Pharmacy and Newfoundland Diagnostics aims to make testing and treating UTIs much easier.

Rightdose Pharmacy, in collaboration with Newfoundland Diagnostics, have launched an app set to change the way people in the UK test and treat for urinary tract infections (UTIs). The Rightdose Self-Test & Treat App allows people to order a UTI test (£15 for three tests) and upload their results for verification. Those who test positive update this in the app, select and pay for the medication. Medication is then delivered straight to their door within 24 hours.

Kasim Gulzar MRPharmS, pharmacist and founder of Rightdose Pharmacy, said: “The Rightdose Self-Test & Treat App is a major benefit to the NHS and has the potential to reduce GP appointment waiting times. Pharmacies find themselves as the first port of call for many patients, however, find themselves limited as to what they can offer. It is empowering to the pharmacy sector and most importantly to the health and well-being of the patient.”
